What is the FAMLI leave law?
The Maryland Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI) law requires that employers and employees contribute to a family medical leave insurance fund managed by the State. Maryland Department of Labor is working to build the FAMLI system ahead of the contribution start date of July 1, 2025 and when benefits become available on July 1, 2026.
