Members are encouraged to join us on Thursday, November 7, 2024 from 1:30PM to 2:30PM via ZOOM for a free virtual introduction to Maryland's forthcoming paid family leave program.

What is the FAMLI leave law?
The Maryland Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI) law requires that employers and employees contribute to a family medical leave insurance fund managed by the State. Maryland Department of Labor is working to build the FAMLI system ahead of the contribution start date of July 1, 2025 and when benefits become available on July 1, 2026.

This webinar will cover:
• What is Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI)?
• Obligations from the employer and employee
• How will FAMLI work in Maryland?
• What can you do now to prepare?
