ABC: The Key to Political Advocacy!

An exclusive “how to” political advocacy session followed by a Happy Hour

Hosted by the 4 Maryland ABC Chapters

Tired of trying to navigate all the new laws and regulations that the Maryland General Assembly cook up each year? Do you wish you could have a greater effect on how these laws and regulations are shaped and ultimately impact our industry? Then we hope you will join us for a unique session for ABC members on how to effectively lobby Maryland’s legislative and executive branches of state government whose policies regulate the construction industry. 

What you will learn:

• How to have a positive impact on the General Assembly
• How to read and understand a proposed bill
• What works (and what doesn’t) when lobbying an elected official
• How to effectively testify before a House or Senate Committee
